Virginia Dalton is a native Texan who was raised on the music of Mozart and Bach thanks to her father. A fan of opera, forensic science and theater, Virginia resides in North Carolina with her "wonderful, supportive husband and a feisty orange tabby cat."

Her historical novella, THE LADY AND THE FOX, is inspired by the opera Lucia di Lammermoor, and will be released here this November. The novella, says Virginia, is about "love, self-sacrifice and murder set in Scotland's turbulent 18th century."
